Hello i have a question my ethernet keeps disconnecting every 5 minutes or faster. Lately my ethernet stopped working and i searched a bit and a put my speed and duplex on 100 Mbps full duplex then my internet started working again. My computer doesnt connect the ethernet on auto negotiation but i think it did before. I already tried reinstalling my drivers BIOS update clearing CMOS and checked the cable. I cant get it to work on auto negotiation i think that is the problem. My pc does get internet as fast as i got before, but the problem is that its disconnecting every 5 minutes or so. My computer says there is no cable connnected when it disconnects. I dont think my port is broken because it worked like a week ago normal.
I have a MAG Z390 TOMAHAWK motherboard from MSI.

Solution
My pc is connected directly in to the router my cable goes trough the walls trough a pipe, yes but i did work before how can this happen?
Only 1 of the 8 wires has to have an issue for the port to not be able to autonegotiate appropriately. I would recommend running a temporary cable across the floor to the router. See if that corrects your issues. Your existing cable could have been bent too many times or have been pinched at some point. But the simple test is to use a new factory made wire.
Do you have in-wall wiring connecting your PC to your router? That is the most likely problem. If it is a direct connection, then you need to try a different cable. With quality cabling (100% copper and not "flat") your PC should always work on "auto".
