Discussion Any estimates on when Ryzen 9 9950X3D will be back in stock?

Ctrl + F, 9950X3D. Check it every day, or as often as you think you need to.
I used it to get a 9800X3D from Best Buy.
Thanks! I'll keep an eye on it, probably until Memorial Day, and if not by then I'll just get a plain 9950X. I just want it because I can, and not because I need.

No, but I thought I would include one when I finish my "75th Birthday AMD Lian Li All White Celebration Build". What else do I have to do at that age. LOL
Point was if you can’t really wait maybe step down one SKU, the 9800X3D is nearly neck and neck with the 9950X3D and if you’re not playing at 1080p low on a 5090 you won’t see a difference between the top 5 CPUs anyway

Thanks. This whole supply chain issue has just disappointed me to the point that on Memorial Day I'm just going to go on the Newegg website and order the best that they have in stock. Maybe my life is sad that I'm just building computers and ordering whatever for the mental exercise and boredom relief. But its the thing that makes me the happiest at this point in my life so I'll just carry on.

Nothing wrong with loving building computers for the mental exercise!

What are you doing with them once you build them? Any cool projects?

Too bad about the availability of the 9950x3d, I wonder when they will be back in stock. Maybe late summer?

Right now I'm only using 3 of them. One I consider my daylight daily driver: under the desk, BeQuiet Silent Base 802 all black case, Ultra 285K, Z890. The new build will be my nighttime light show: Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO RGB white case, argb fans and Arctic Freezer III Pro cooler, maybe next week ASUS X870-A mb, AMD 9950X and G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal Neo dimms, and probably for 4th of July just a Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT for the argb. And the 3rd, under the TV movie box: Lian Li O11 Air Mini case with previous build Z790 13900K and 14TB storage for movies. I have a couple more in storage for emergencies, like for now I've cannibalized a Z590 11900K mb to test out my new build's argb lights and SignalRGB software. They all help keep me going as my life winds down. After all these years I've had with all these suppliers and their self-serving problems. I just do, and buy, what amuses me.

I too just went through a build frenzy, and I built something very similar: Lian Li 011 Dynamic Evo, Gigabyte Aorus 870E mb, 9950x3d, used RTX 3090, 64 GB RAM for workstation PC including work applications but also local hosted AI projects which is pretty interesting to get into.

I also built an Unraid Server and a gaming PC for my daughter.

I got the 9950x3d on launch day and felt lucky to get it.

7950x3d is available for $685 on Amazon if you wanted.

Newegg currently has 9950X3D's in stock for $749.99

It's Sold By / Shipped By Newegg. I ordered one originally through B&H and it was supposed to ship in 3-7 business days, but today it was updated for 7-10 business days so I cancelled my B&H order and just placed a new order with Newegg. I don't mind paying $50 over MSRP if it means I can actually receieve the product from a real seller in a reasonable timeframe.

Good luck!

THANKS!!! I GOT IT!! I got depressed and didn't check it every day but you saved me! Plus I got $40 off from buying the motherboard and dimms I wanted. They claim they'll ship it tomorrow so I should have it Wednesday. You've made a 74 year old man as happy as a 74 year old man can get.

Now I just have to figure out what to do about a GPU for my "75th Birthday AMD Lian Li White Celebration". I guess I'll see what the remaining news from Computex says about white gpus. ASUS is adding some, maybe there will be others. And maybe they'll actually be available.

Excellent! :)

If you are looking for a white GPU, currently CentralComputers (centralcomputer.com) has a white ASRock Steel Legend 9070 XT for $750. On the RTX 5000 side of things, they also have a white Zotac SOLID OC 5080 for $1429. The $1429 is still an outrageous price, but considering even the low level Ventus card is $1409 and the 999 MSRP for the card is basically fake, the $1429 for a white 5080 with an above average cooler is actually OK for what it is.

That's the market these days for high end GPUs, unfortunate. I am not sure if it's ever going to go back down. $1429 seems like not so bad for a 5080 anymore.

Thanks again! I'm still thinking about the gpu, especially since I have to recover from today's purchase. Of all the gpus I've seen the leading contender is the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 9070 XT at $900. Its not really white, a greyish silver, but I like the led strip on the top which will face out in a conventional mounting. (A user commented about removing that plastic X pattern cover on the top to fully expose the leds so I'll think about that). Plus the way they've handled the power and argb connections on the back under the removable cover seems really appealing. Since I've got a new Lian Li 1200 power supply with a really good 12V-2×6 cable I'm seriously thinking about gpus using that rather than multiple 8 pin cables. I guess I'll wait till its closer to the 4th of July sales to finalize that purchase, preferably for less than $1,000.
