Internet problem

i have cricket wireless for my desktop and everything was working fine, but then all of a sudden when i was on the internet it stopped and said internet explorer has stopped working and will let you know when it comes up with a solution. Whenever, i connect to the internet it automatically connects but now it wont? now i have to go to my startup menu and i have two options, internet explorer and internet explorer 64 bit and the only one it will let me connect to is the 64 bit! why is that?
