~@~@~@~@~@~Solved~@~@~@~@~@~@
Hello, so the past few days my desktop has been having connection issues, I've scanned for Malware and viruses using Avast and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and I removed all the threats, rescanned with both programs and it was clear. But my problem persists and the only way I've found to fix it is to reset my router then its fine for an entire day or two.. then the problem comes back. I cannot connect to the internet through IE, firefox or chrome. But my brother can connect and I can connect through the wifi on my laptop ( My desktop is hardwired and so is my brothers)
The only programs I've downloaded in the past week or so were Raidcall and a beatmania type game called Osu!
I've checked my device manager and none of my devices have an ! or ? next to them.
I'm stumped as to why this is happening could my router just need replacing?'
edit: just did a test on speedtest .net my results were- Ping: 22 Download: 50mbps Upload: 18.37 mbps

My solution: Disable my Avast! Web security. Open Avast -> Settings -> Active protection -> Web sheild <- turn this off.
Other solutions. Turn off proxy settings in IE and firefox:
IE: Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN settings -> Uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN"
Firefox: Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Settings -> Go to the Network tab -> And either check No proxy or Use system proxy settings.
( I don't know how to do this in Chrome, if I find out ill post)
Press your start button and type in "CMD" right click CMD and run as administrator. Then type in "ipconfig /flushdns" (Without the quotation marks)
Press your start button and type in "CMD" right click CMD and run as administrator. Then type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" (Without the quotation marks) then restart your computer.
Run an Virus scan http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/8263-63-simple-free-guide-removing-malware
Reset your router.
Call your internet provider. (if you have more than one computer in your house check to see if its happening on all of them if its not then it may not be your router or your providers fault)
