For some reason the internet on my PC is extremely slow. I tried using my laptop and my internet TV and they are all fine, it's just my PC that's slow. I'm pretty sure it's not infected with anything. I've first discovered this problem when I was downloading a high resolution image and the progress just stopped. I then tried to download other stuff and they all come to a halt after 10 seconds or so

I'm currently using Windows 10. I don't have the AMD Streaming program and I'm using a wired internet connection.

Does anybody knows what's going on? The problem is on my main PC and it made it really hard for me to get anything done on it. Please help.

Here is a link explaining svchost - there are other links available:

And then this link:

You can likewise research "system" in the same manner.

In both cases, svchost and system, there are probably factors (applications, configuration, drivers, etc.) unique to your system. Maybe there is a bug somewhere and an update or a patch may be necessary.

At this point you have options:

For example you may be able to "End Task" Google Chrome. See if the used memory % goes down. Or check the memory before...

I checked the task manager the largest program running is called 'system' that sometimes take 6 MB memory, but the total memory would sometimes skip from 12% to 99%. I have a 16G ram. Ethernet wise, the largest running file would be 'scvhost' then google chrome.

For now just use the links (or similar links) for guidance and exploration. You do not necessarily need to immediately take action - narrow down the culprit first and closely examine any "fixes" that you find. Avoid any software downloads that offer to "fix" the problem. Some of those "fixes" will show up no matter what you are trying to resolve.
