My router Dir-842 reset my DHCP settings every four hours , but its not a router problem. I swap it for a time and exact same thing happened. I tried to change the DHCP leashe time , but it did not work , try to change the DNS with the default one or google ( i use cloudflare) and still the resseting continue. Its an optical 100mbps interent too.

Most home router have 2 dhcp settings. The one on your lan you control and you should be able to set the lease time for the private lan addresses. The WAN one the ISP controls.

In general DHCP will attempt to renew the address at 1/2 the lease time. If it gets no response it will try again a number of times...varies a bit by implementation. It will then only when it hits the limit remove the ip and broadcast for a new one.

If it gets a renewal response it reset the timer and then waits again until it get to about 1/2

I swapped all cabels as a matter of fact. Another thing is that sometime this problem do not persist , but if you restart the router its repeat it again. Another thing is that on this Provider only i have the problem.

If it happens on the WAN side it is likely a issue with the ISP. The router can do little but follow what the ISP tells it to do. If the ISP tells it to only keep the IP address for 4 hours that is all it will keep it. The router will attempt to renew the lease but if the ISP does not respond for whatever reason it will expire.

Not sure how this can happen in a home install. In a business install I have seen issues where firewalls block the DHCP messages sent directly to the server but not broadcast messages. Since this is on the wan side it can not be a firewall you control....assuming you have a simple modem between your router and the ISP.

1. We have net TV. The TV spike for 2-3 seconds which is not normal. My other friends router uptime is like 15 days , my reset after 4 h.
2. If you a playing a game you are disconected or your game freeze for 3-7 secs.

You're going to have to describe your problem better. Is there someone else that can clearly type out and describe the problem?
