Internet slowed down

I have a 50 Mbps internet connection, it worked fine 2 days ago. Then I log in on an online game and the lag is so bad i cannot play it, downloads are down to. I tried to restart the router, reconnect my wi-fi connection some other things. Nothing worked. My room mates do not have those problems their works fine at full speed. I do not know what to do.

Do your friends use same Wi-Fi connection?
Also, have you checked any application or service using your bandwidth in background?

We all use Wi-Fi, all 3 of use played online games at the same time 3 days ago no lag for no one. I disabled everything that could use my internet steam, torrent, browsers. Still nothing. The internet is supposed to be 50 Mbps when I do a test online I get 5 max.

if you are using windows 10 then open task manager> go to processes tab and check if there is service(like service host) or any other app using anything in Network column.

I checked that now, it says 0% on network.

I am going home tomorrow and I will connect to another Wi-Fi to see what happens. Also doing a full anti virus scan to check if something in that area is causing the speed to be so low.

EDIT: Did a full system scan with 360 Total Security for viruses and everything came out clean.
EDITx2: Just connected to my home Wi-Fi the same issue occurred.
EDITx3: I connected the internet cable to the laptop as well, same results.

I have no clue what the issues are, I have all the newest updates on the laptop download and upload speeds are fine going full power, but whenever I start an online game insane lag.

i suppose you should contact your ISP. If you want to try 1 thing more, i would suggest upgrading firmware of your modem and router.
