I'm using wireless, my laptop is a hp runnin on windows 8. Haven't had this problem until yesterday, I use google chrome and it will work for around 5 or 10 minutes and then will just stop, if I restart my computer then it will work again but only for the 10 minutes, then it will just stay on sending request at the bottom left corner of the screen or say something about resolving proxy. I tried to use Internet explorer instead to see if it will work but it won't respond either, help would be great!

imomun just did that, forgot the network and retried connecting through it again once the router was back on and ready, still no luck. won''t work at all usually until i restart it. Using a computer at the moment, internet is fine, same as my ipod and phone, no worries at all. Its just my laptop by the looks of it.

Turn off the router wait a minute and then turn back on. Connect to internet after few minute and see if its working now and then report back. Thanks

Update the laptop internet driver, install the latest WIFI driver from the manufacturer site.

If unsure, and you still got some connection to internet, 1st uninstall it from device manager and then when prompted let windows search for the best driver.

Other than this I cant realy think of anything at the moment.

Thanks for the help, not sure but do you think norton security might have something to do with it? Just noticed an orange explanation mark on the norton symbol that popped up after the 5 minutes of having the Internet connected, I just updated norton and giving the computer a full system scan and then seeing what will happen, don't know if it would be beneficial to uninstall norton all together as I don't know if this is actually the problem. What do you think?

Fixed it! just gave it a quick scan and updated it all and internet is working fine now, relieved that was all that was causing it but at the same time for the last 2 days i have gone through both the internet's and computer's settings to try and fix the issue for it to just be that is a bit annoying haha, glad it's good though, thanks for helping! :)

Hi.
How did you fix it? I also have a HP laptop, running on Wireless Internet at home and has the same problem. Internet works for like 10min then just stop responding. Please tell me how you fixed it. I have AVG Internet Security 2013 though.

>hey, the same thing happend to me 2x.. the first fix i made> i reformatted my system. it deleted most of my documents w/c is not that important anyway> problem fixed..
after 6months ithink it hapend again
>2nd time> i cant reformat this time because i have so much files. then i noticed that 1 folder on my deskstop is not working well. whenever i open this folder "new movies" after a minute or 2 it will be unresponsive and it will be forced close. . its along story why this hapen but i think i know why its hapend.. anyway what i did is i created folder on deskstop > moved "new movies" inside that new folder.. then suddenly my browser is fixed too.. maybe the "new movies" w/c contains lot of movies have virus? i bootscan(avast) already/defrag/ccleaner/tuner but that folder still hav the same prob.

I am facing the dsame problem on my Acer, Windows 7. I reset my windows, updated it again. But the problem is same.

I had this problem aswell, was on a LAN cable directly into the router, not wireless.

It was a new computer so I was fustrated. I went into see what bloatware was on my new computer, under controlpanel, and add/remove programs. Or press Windows+R and type in appwiz.cpl.

There I found NetCrawl was installed. uninstalled it, rebooted. And the problem was gone.

Hope this helps

I had the same problem... in the end, it come down to 3rd parties...

if you run your computer or laptop in safe mode with networking and everything works fine...

Download ADWCLEANER and run it in safe mode... it will remove EVERYTHING latching onto your internet browser and it will speed up your internet too...

FULLY LOVE THAT PROGRAM RIGHT NOW!!

I have the same problem on Windows 7, I solve it running an app called Combofix. This app removes malwares and spywares.
I had this problem twice and at the first time I had to format my PC, but at the second time this app did the job!

The link is: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/

I hope this help you, because I spent many hours looking for this solution.
