My guess is that Intel + Microsoft will make the best tablets in 2-3 years. Intel's power saving plan looks amazing if they can pull that off (they have been very good at predicting before) you will no longer need a PC just a monitor / keyboard that connects by wifi or something to phone. Phones faster than current computers are only 3-6 years away.
Then where ever you go you have your personal computer.

[citation][nom]teodoreh[/nom]Intel has great success on anything than x86 processors. They paid $1b to NVidia and they *still* can't produce a decent graphics chip. And they try to produce low-energy chips by reducing the nm while the same - bad - x86-style architecture is the main problem. ARM is not AMD. And ARM has qualities that Intel cannot understand - yet...[/citation]

Nvidia had nothing to do with Intel's graphics, so that's irrelevant. x86 isn't bad at all, Intel simply needs to stop using six year old micro-architectures and update Medfield with something modern such as a cut-down Ivy Bridge on a low-power 22nm process.
