"Invalid scan frequency"

Looking for help to resolve an error message that pops up on a 19" Hitachi CM751U monitor when the power saving feature is enabled. After the monitor enters "power save" mode and turns off, the screen becomes distored and the message "Invalid Scan Freq." appears as a monitor error message. Once the mouse or keyboard is used, the message disappears and normal work can continue. I tried all the different refresh frequencies available, but this did not work. However, disabling the power save feature seemed to solve the problem as enabling the screen saver does not give the error message. I would still like to know why this message appears, though, and any potential answers would be great! Thanks in advance...

This is normal for many Hitachi monitors. Instead of posting a nice message like "POWER SAVE MODE" that many people would understand, they use "invalid scan frequency" meaning you need to be an engineer to figure out what they really mean. This is not a problem or error, ignor it.
