IP camera NAS storage

Good afternoon,

I have just configured an IP Camera to my network (TRENDNET TV-IP662PI). The box states that it is able to save to a NAS unit. I can not find any option to send data to a NAS. Does anyone have any experience with this camera?

If you look at the "Storage" bullet on this page -- https://www.trendnet.com/products/ip-cameras/TV-IP662PI It says it can store to a SAMBA server. So you would have to have a Windows share on the NAS that the camera can mount.

I have my NAS on the network. Do I need to just input the IP address of the NAS? I'm norry I have no experience with Samba. Do you need additional Software?

What you need to do is create a login on your NAS for your camera. Then give that login permission to read/write to a specific share. On the camera, you would configure the windows workgroup and then probably browse for the share. Use the login credentials you created on the NAS to access.
