The way these companies are going will ensure their elimination down the road. I am not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing.

Good because they are no longer copying stuff and producing bad product.

Bad because there are many factories like that in mainland China and that means a lot of people will be out of job.

But the real one are all made in China, so good luck looking for one made in Brazil (Foxconn in Brazil makes iphone 4 and may be, they can make iphone 5 there) or don't buy one at all.

I am Chinese so I think my design counts.

If I am going to design a phone, I am going to have Window 8/ubuntu dual boot on it with a quad core AMD APU, 4GB system RAM, proprietary micro DDR3 upgradable to 16GB. Capable of playing 1080p 3D video with mini display port output.

6 inch 1920x1080 glassesless 3D, tempered glass screen, brushed aluminium case, where some area is bumpy to act as cooling surface, for even heat distribution and dispersal Enlarged rubber rounded corner for drop protection. Dock for expansion function and extra ports (sata II, pcie 3.0, usb 3.0, lightpeak- the real one with FO not copper, gigabit LAN), and patented mechanism to clamp the phone's case for external heatsink and fan cooling, lightpeak (the real FO connection, not the slow copper Apple current have) interface to pcie 3.0 x16 physical, electrical and bandwidth for hybrid crossfire or dedicated gpu. Bios unlocked for overclocking!!

GPS, dual sim, 4G, wifi n, bluetooth 3.0, usb 3.0, multi-touch screen, dual 12MP camera with xenon and LED flash on back, dual 2MP on front + LED for taking HD 3D pictures, video and conference. Voice recognition, 3 axis motion sensor supporting tab/vibration control and auto screen orientation, ambient light sensor. Stylus pen snug into body.

64GB ssd for storage support up to 2 micro SDXC card in raid 0, 1 and 10 (major software and controller needed here to give raid support), 2.1 speaker, 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless recharge and removable carbon nano tube battery.

Certified with International Protection Rating in the highest possible level in dust, liquid, impact and drop test.

Imagine that and sell for $199. This phone is so dreamy!

Pyree I'll take 6 of these.

Please get mine build with an onboard tesseractor to remove heat from the CPU / GPA and transmit this to the sole of my shoe.

P.S. I don't want you drinking that Mother energy drink anymore ... your starting to sound like randomizer just before he has exams.

:)

Oh, you gave me better idea. No, putting heat to the sole of your shoe is a waste. Thermoelectric casing to harvest the waste heat back to battery for greater energy efficiency.

I didn't drink any energy drink. Although I did inhale a waft of coffee steam this morning. I guess either I get more stimulated than Sheldon on coffee or I am planning on a phone like that in my brain subconsciously without my knowledge. 😀

Eventually we will all be chipped subdermally and wifi'd into the great cloud.

On-line gaming should be good but you will need to have your eyes closed and be stationally or risk vertigo and vomiting.

Performance will all be about synaptic processing.

Later on you should be able to access other people's dreams.

As a pychotherapist I am a bit worried about that.

:)

Happened to me. In the time when Crysis is most popular, I played just a bit too much. I tough I could jump off from a steep bank into a dried creek about 2m tall without any pain. Hey, in Cysis, you select maximum armour and a cool voice says "maximum armour" and you survive fall from buildings. I jumped and it hurts like hell.

The sub-dermal integration of computing device into human nervous system will be very nice for gaming I expect, but scary. I remember there is a French movie about what you talk about. In the future, games are so real, that a player die in a game actually thinks they are dead and physiologically, the body shuts down and die in real life. It was on SBS before.

Can't remember the title of the movie. Try Wolframalpha searching for this:

"I need to know the name of a French movie where video game players actually die in real life if they die in the game because the game is so real."

Wolframalpha server is unavailable.

I need Watson.

I guess we are not getting that implant any time soon, with our crappy technology now.

Apple and the iPhone can go suck it...

I totally enjoy my Galaxy tab (3G streaming SiriusXM on it right now) and plan on swapping my Razr for a Galaxy Note 2 when my contract is up for renewal in a month or so...

APPLE CAN SUCK IT!!!!!!
