@robochump

ahhhhh the bliss of ignorance, IP (intellectual property, which includes designs) developed during company time or derived from company assets (including other IP owned by said company) is owned completely by the company, a patent (design) maybe attributed to a person or group of persons but is still owned by the company, as such said individuals have no claim or rights to sue any other persons/entity over infringements to said patents, it is up to the company whether they choose to enforce and/or share any percentage of the royalties obtain from the patents with said individual (usually written into the terms of employment contract)

LOL, the guy can't even rest in death. iPhone 27 or iPhone Infinity will be out and they'll be saying, "It has feature X that Steve Jobs wanted to see become reality." and millions of holographic mind-melding whatzamajiggers will be sold and the rejoicing {and hatred} will continue.

[citation][nom]hokkdawg[/nom]@maxiim - This does matter! Because it fuels the speculation that Apple will start falling by the wayside now that Steve Jobs is gone. Think how much money you could make with a short position on Apple trading at current $665/share. It took only 5 years for Apple to go from $100/share to $700/share, and in 5 years it's entirely possible for it to crash as their current leadership screws up.[/citation]

It started to happen before, until jobs came back, but now he is dead he can't come back unless he is a ghost!
