IPS/PLS is it worth it?

I have a 22inch 1080p monitor which is a HP compaq le2202x, is it worth it to upgrade to an IPS/PLS monitor 24"? TIA

I personally find it more than worth it. Great color reproduction and depth. Usually deep blacks and if you make the right choice and pick a panel that doesn't have any backlight bleed it will be decent.

im choosing between asus vc239h,samsung ls24fhe which has fresync or the aoc i23 thing. the samsung is a PLS panel

too pricy here in our country 50$ more on dell, but on lg i cant find a new monitor and its not available on our countrys webstore like amazon
