dude the 2312 and the 2412 are the exact same monitor , the only only difference is one is 24 inch and the other is 23 thats all

i say get the 2312 the 1 inch difference isn't much and the 2312 is quite a bit cheaper even though it exactly the same

TN is better, it has faster response time. IPS is better if you are like me and want to do colour accurate design work, but I have gamed on my Dell U2311H e-IPS display and you cannot notice any visual tearing or the such, but keep in mind my U2311H costs more than a comparable TN monitor. When gaming, the graphics look better, but for the price you could have bought a 27" monitor rather than a 23" e-IPS monitor.

Just as a monitor, my U2311H can do portrait or landscape.

At the time when I bought it, I paid $250 (AUD)

You can find the same monitor in the US for about $230 when on sale.

Well then in that case you can choose between e-IPS and traditional TN monitors for gaming. The more colour accurate s-IPS and etc. are much slower (ms) rated.

Really up to you. I can only comment on things I own, apart from that, my google is as good as yours.

I like the thin bezels and the contrast ratio. :)
I will see if my local bestbuy has this so I can go and see if I like it. I would like more opinions so I can "test" a lot of monitors at bestbuy.

EDIT: Oops, I forgot one thing. I will be setting up tri-monitor eyefinity in the future.
EDIT2: I was also considering the U2312HM. What appealed to me the most about this monitor is the max input lag it experiences is 10ms and the average is .6ms.

I'm vote for TN since if i use ips it will reduce my gaming experience because of ghosting that i see if i use that..

Only use IPS if u need to do a design not game..

Only can suggest to you to choose 2ms response LED if you use high-end graphic card..
Because 2 ms response is only on the grey to grey picture, but on white to black picture it will cost your monictor respond time..

Do you game with friends sitting near you? Good viewing angles don't usually matter for PC gaming unless you game with a TV.
