My WiFi on my phone keeps randomly going out. The bars will stay full, but I still lose internet connection.

When I go into my network settings while this happens, I see that under my iPv4 address, everything disappears; IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Router.

After about 30 seconds, it connects to a random IP starting with 169.254...... and the Subnet Mask goes to 255.255.0.0 for about 5 seconds, then they disappear again. After another 30 seconds it will connect back to my IP and router.

This issue has been the bane of my existence for the last month. Please help.

That 169.254.... IP address is a default value that Windows assigns when a viable IP address cannot be found.

My immediate thought is that the problem may be interference due to other wireless networks using the same frequency and channel.

Make and model router?

Are you in a location where there are likely other wireless networks? Apartment, dorm, etc..?

What make and model phone? Make and model router?

How many devices (wired and wireless) on your network?

More information needed.
