Ironside minion ultra a good computer?

The link you provide has a configuration with an AMD Athlon X4 840. That's not a very powerful processor by any means. It is slightly weaker than an Intel i3-6100 that costs $124 retail. I can't find a price for the X4 - not sure why, since it seems to be a relatively new processor from AMD. Used processors sell for $60.

That said, paying about $800 including shipping, a warranty, tech support, etc. seems about right.

Your only alternative is to walk into Best Buy or Micro Center (I hate Fry's) and see what they have to offer. Decline all offers for extended warranties or 'services" and customization by the retailer. You might save about $50-100 that way. Although the graphics card on the Ironside is pretty good, so that may sway you...
