Random times throughout the day I seem to get a BSOD with the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is but I've uninstalled my video card drivers and ran Memtest, which passed - yet still have the issues. Anyone have any ideas! My computer is not even a month old and these is really bugging me.

Specs:
Intel i5-3570K
8 GB 1600 MHz Corsair Memory
EVGA GTX 670 FTW
128GB Crucial m4 SSD
1 TB HDD
ASRock Extreme4 Z77 Mobo
750W Corsair Professional PSU

Solution

I'm fairly certain the problem is solved as being RAM... bad RAM can cause all kinds of havoc in Windows including file corruption. If Memtest is coming up with errors and bios set at default then you have the culprit. Isolate the faulty module(s) and file for RMA.

Old thread re-opened. But after not having BSODs for months I got back into OC'ing. Now no matter what VCore I have my P95 test fail with a rounding error. Even on fully stock BIOS settings I fail P95 and IBT. After re-reading this thread I saw you asked if I ever messed with BCLK. At the time I said I didn't know, but thinking back I remember the first time I tried to OC using ASRock extreme utility software I raised the BCLK bar a fair way up. The system just froze up and crashed, so I did not think anything of it. Recently, I've ran Memtest two nights in a row with both sticks in with over 11 passes each and no errors, so I doubt my sticks are messed up again. I'm seriously considering I messed up my chip long ago when I did that BCLK boost without knowing.

Any ideas?

Splendid
The 3570K is tough and depending on how high you took it I don't believe OC'ing through bclk would hurt the chip. Rather it would hurt peripherals. ie: corrupting the video card, corrupting the HDD, SSD, etc...

I would look into these things and simply use the chip in another machine.

Quick update, I ran sfc /scannow and found some corrupt files. I opened the log and CTRL + F for "corrupt", found these lines. Any ideas?

Hey mookial

Download the CCleaner Program, and run a scan on the "registry" area.
I have the same problem, and It is fixed from that wonderful scanner. It i really neat, and cleans out your computer and patches/fixes registry keys.

Good Luck!
