IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

First let me aplogize if im posting in the wrong forum section, but i need some help. I am getting a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen of death mesaage on a new build of which im trying to install my WIN XP Home Edition service pack 1 cd. I have looked on the internet to try and solve this problem but most solutions are for computers already up and running and my is a new build.

My Specs are seagate sata HD 1tb,Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P Motherboard,8gb of ram, and of course a sata cd-rom. the motherboard has on-board video.

Someone please help me out.
