can be a few issues. one it can be an old wifi driver. make sure you have the newest driver installed. if the router a few years old make sure it has the newest firmware loaded. you have to hardwire it to a pc to update it safely. in the router check to see what it using for security...wep or wpa. sometime older router screw upo with wep/wpa. also if there a lot of wifi near you try changing the wifi router default channel to another one. also make sure your connecting to the right wifi router. the last issue is what your house is made from and the range from the router. you may be at a point where the signal is weak or blocked. see if you can move the router/cable modem see if the issue changes. also make sure there no other 2.4g...
