I got a gaming pc from my parents last christmas. Specs are
I5-6400
Gt 730
Msi-H110M Pro-D
That one thermaltake people say is only 350w and not 430w
8gb DDR4
Corsair RGB Lux
Razer DA
Led headset
Is this fine for a 1050ti or do I need a new power supply? Tight on money so any good recommendations that should keep me safe power wise? Im fine spending up to $60 on a power supply. If under 60 i might be able to get 1060.

Solution
A 1050ti that doesn't require a 6 pin connector would probably work for a while, but I highly recommend a new psu anyway. A 1060 would absolutely require a new better psu.
The cheapest EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB starts at approximately $195 and rougly gives a 40% performance boost compared to the GTX 1050 Ti (the 1050Ti stand parallel to the GTX 770). The 6GB VRAM version of the same card has only a meagre128 more CUDA cores compared to the 3GB VRAM version while costing $50 more. Thus its always profitable to buy the smaller VRAM version unless u want to game at resolutions higher than the typical 1920x1080 resolution for which both the cards i mentioned were optimized for.

The GTX 1060 IS better than the GTX 980 to be honest and i recommend u to buy that instead

The power supply u currently have will prove sufficient for the gtx 1050 Ti but if u want the 1060 , preferably a gigabyte 1060 with large overclocking headroom and form factor, i would recommend buying a better PSU (400W recommended by card manufacturer)

Why were the 2 PSUs the same price but one had higher wattage? Just the market pricing or performance difference? And as for the 1060, i heard 3gb vram is not enough. I dont want to play many hard games. Just CS and H1Z1 really. Can already run cs just not h1.

If money is tight I'd give serious consideration to just getting the 1050 Ti and calling it a day. You'd have a pretty good 1080p rig. It would be low power enough that I'd be comfortable just using that original power supply for the next couple of years(or until it dies, whichever comes first). If you have the need for, and money for, a 1060 then at least get the EVGA 500W.

Keep in mind that a lot of people around here spend top dollar on everything, so as helpful as advice can be, sometimes people don't always see the middle ground between 'cheap' and 'expensive'.

The 3GB 1060 IS enough. The 6GB version is better, but it's not THAT much better. The 3GB 1060 is much closer in performance to the 6GB version than it is the 1050ti. The 1050ti is a good little card though. 10x better than your GT730 for sure.

The 2 psus are the same price likely because different online retailers have different prices at different times. It's not uncommon. Sometimes the 750w version of a psu is cheaper than it's 550w brother. Daily sales and whatnot.
