I am on a budget video editing build and was considering this for use across three monitors.

Although I will game on this machine, my main emphasis be that it is a work station. I don't care If I can run 3 monitors while playing games, but I do require being able to have three monitors when editing.

That's a good card, if you just need it for normal gaming and for three monitors is fine.

That card is capable of nvidia surround view, so you can use all three monitors for gaming. but you will have to lower the settings so it's up to you.

How will it run with an i7 4790k? A lot of bottle neck?

LOL any of those i7s are far far far from bottlenecking a GTX 760. Any of those CPUs can handle 4 way GTX TITANs.

Yes, very low end CPUs like the FX 4300, FX 6300, Intel Pentium, and Intel core i3 can only take up to GTX 760 level cards before bottlenecking.
