Question Is 1800MHz Infinity Fabric Clock the AMD Guaranteed Clock?

Hey all, just wondering on the Ryzen 3000 series if anybody knows if AMD guarantees 1800MHz IF clock or if that is still an overclock.

Cause I've seen a 3900X user that can't get his IF clock stable above 1767mhz.

And I was wondering if 3600MHz memory (1800MHz without doubling the RAM speed), is also pretty easy to hit on all Ryzen 3000 CPUs?

I'm pretty sure that an IF of 1800 is NOT guaranteed, it depends on your CPU and BIOS if you can hit 1800 (or higher) IF.
As far as I know AMD states RAM speed support for 3200 RAM for Ryzen 3000 CPU's, so that would be 1600 IF, anything over that would be considered OC'ing.

I personally have my 3600 RAM running at 3733 and my IF set at 1867 and it is 100% stable.

It also looked like he is running 4 sticks. Wonder if that is causing an issue. I haven't the time to read the whole thread. lol

Oh I missed that, yup I bet you that's the problem. According to ASrock, you can run 3200mhz on two sticks, whether single rank or dual rank, but then they drop the frequency pretty significantly (I think under 3000mhz) when running 4 sticks.

Thanks for the input DMAN.

That Reddit article seems legit though, the author and another commenter said they can't hit 1800mhz either and I think their systems are fine.

Well simply put i just have to test 1800mhz IF clock and see if i can pass a stress test, if not, i can just get a 3600mhz 32GB CL16 kit and drop it to 3466mhz and call it a day.
