The specification(regarding ram) of GA-X99-UD5/UD7 WIFI shows as follows:
8 x DDR4 DIMM sockets supporting up to 128 GB of system memory
* Support for up to 512 GB of system memory when using Registered DIMMs.
But the menu (ram installation section) says, "If you are using a RDIMM memory, make sure it is a 1Rx8 one."
Does it sound strange?
That means if you install 512 GB of system ram, you have to use 64G 1Rx8 ram stick. I wonder if this type of ram is ever existed.
