Is 2gb nvidia geforce gtx 645 enough for things like BF4 or FSX? i dont want to play on medium settings i want to play BF4 on high to ultra so will this graphics card do it with an AMD a10 processor and no lagging? And how about flight simulator on ultra high settings ? (its a desktop pc)

Solution

I'm pretty sure he's not going to since he won't probably be getting the pc he was originally going to get. (I'm assuming he's not building his own pc since the GTX 645 isn't sold separately)

True that. I would recommend building your own computer for everyone why can follow instructions from Youtube videos. (Channels like NCIX, ToT, Newegg, Linustechtips etc.)

It's only 600 pounds and I'll use it for other things like homework, won't it work on medium or high settings

how about medium to high?

its again only 600 pounds from pc world - its got 8gb ram, 2tb hdd and an a10 processor!

The APU (the CPU in your case) Is AMD, the GPU you went for is NVIDIA. The APU is a normal CPU + an extra integrated GPU stronger than the ones you get with a normal CPU. You can combine certain AMD GPU's with the APU, but you will never be able to combine an AMD APU with an NVIDIA GPU.

In your case, don't go with the APU. Take a FX 6300 OR if you can afford it (probably not with 600 pounds) an i5 4670k. For the GPU, go for a GTX 760 if you want to play on ultra settings.

I pretty much agree on this video:

As far as components go, it looks pretty good. Make sure you get a proper case with good airflow and a reliable PSU. In general go for an 80+ bronze or higher PSU (it will show it in the specifications).

For the GPU, EVGA and Gigabyte are very reliable brands that will allow some heavy OC.

The FX 6300 is also a very good OC'able CPU. As an aftermarket cooler I'd suggest a : Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo.

im buying it not building it and it comes with 8gb ram and 2tb hdd, can i play it on medium to high settings?

No, the gtx 645 will probably be able to play on low... The component setup doesn't make sense, looks like some leftover parts thrown together to me. 8GB + APU is understandable, as an APU will benefit from the extra RAM. Although, a budget GPU like the gtx 645 shouldn't go together with 8GB ram, you could better go with 4GB and up the GPU in that case...

Solution
I agree.
Buy carefully when you're going for a prebuilt PC - since I was slapped with a virtually unupgradable 945GC chipset with an Acer PC I bought 6 years ago, I gave up the notion of prebuilt PC's for good.

@BnG I'm skeptical the retailer allows to modify the specifications of the computer. If they do, they put in some extra margins...

A computer (online) store will, in general, sell the PC with 15-30% profit (this is a broad range, I forget the more specific range). Of course this doesn't count for deals, but "deals" are in a lot of cases pre-build PC's with leftover parts (crappy CPU/MB combi or maybe a crappy PSU etc).

Kyitt, your best option is choosing the parts from a website and let a hobbyist (look for a trustable one though) or an expert assemble the PC for like 50$ max. It will save you money + you will get suitable components for your budget. Bring your parts with you to the person and let him/her assemble it (if it is a hobbyist I recommend watching, especially if you don't know the person). You might want to ask if you can help, as he/she will probably teach you how to do it on your own.

Haha 😛. Don't get me wrong, "sale" is for those tiny-resellers the same as a permanent price decrease until the components are sold (the older components of which newer and better versions have already been released). "Sale" will just attract more customers if you know what I mean =).

@BnG how about an a10 processor and amd radeon hd 8470 2gb, also i thnx for your input.
on youtube there are videos of people playing ultra high settings with the same graphics card and amd. Many people say that it isnt too bad. Is it really that awful?

@BnG how about an a10 processor and amd radeon hd 8470 2gb

The HD 8470 is the GPU inside of the APU if I'm correct.
The a10-7850k (the newest APU so far if I'm correct) will run BF4 on medium settings 30 fps. If you want to play games like BF4, you will need something better.

is the nvidia graphics card and amd processor really that awful then ? or is it decent enough to enjoy the game, im not a serious gamer, i just need clear good looking graphics, nothing extraordinary!

Which one are you talking about? What model? In general, low graphics on PC (maybe a bit higher) = BF4 graphics on consoles.

Wrong, I have a NVIDIA geforce gtx 645 and can run bf4 on medium to low high settings and get around 40 something fps. Of course this isn't maxing it out but it can run almost any game on medium settings and get decent fps. Here are some examples of averagely hard to run games that I can run at good fps. Skyrim, gta iv (we all know how shit the port for pc was with that game) all of the Cods, all of the battlefields, titanfall etc. Now some of these games aren't that demanding but this was just a list.

No, it's not wrong, because I didn't say it can't run them on medium settings, I said it can't run them with max settings. Try to max out BF4 or even Skyrim with the 645, you won't get playable fps.
