[SOLVED] Is 2mm of radiator exhaust clearance enough? EK PE in Top of H710

Hello,

I'm putting a 360mm rad in the top of an H710i case. There is 40mm space available, and I know a 38mm EK PE rad will fit.

What I don't know is, will only having 2mm of clearance for the exhaust cause any issues considering how the top exhaust works for this case?

I guess the more pertinent question is, does the extra 10mm of radiator versus a 28mm EK SE rad outweigh any potential issue cause by the restricted exhaust space?

Solution
Clearance isn't an issue. If talking about dropping the rad into the tray and mounting fans underneath or flipping the tray and doing the opposite, the depth is the same. Rad + fan.

The fans are the same footprint as the rad though (minus the fitting end). Why would there be enough depth for the fans mounted to the rad, but not the rad itself?

If you look at how the case works you will understand. There is a mounting bracket in the top.

The rad goes on one side, the fans on the other. The bracket can be flipped over but that gives you less room.
