is 400 watt's really necessary?

The case im buying comes with 300watt's. But ive read somewhere that it might be better to get the 400watts. I just would like to know why? Is it mainly to overclock?
 
The more devices you have, the more wattage you'd want.

You could post the specs of your potential system and we can let you know what would be a safe wattage to get.

<A HREF="http://www.pcpowerandcooling.com/" target="_new">Pcpowerandcooling</A> have a list somewhere on their site with the wattage that each component pulls. You could add up all your wattages using that list and then decide for yourself. Most recommend only using 70% of your powersupply for optimal performance.

Check the voltages that come out of your PSU. If you are using too much power, the voltages may drop.
