Is 4ms response bad for gaming?

I was thinking about getting a curved Samsung monitor but the only model they sell has a 4ms response, Is this bad for gaming?

If you plan on gaming professionally, then you need to really worry about that. If you don't do that, then that is perfectly fine and, not to mention, it's mostly just advertising BS to get you to buy the monitor. The mass majority of panels out there will be fine for gaming.

i have a 5ms panel and it's just dandy. i don't play games to make money though i just play them for enjoyment

No the 4ms time is fine generally most gamers are happy with 5ms or less. I think the ms times are BS anyway. Like power supply ratings, they are self regulated and not verified by any outside standard organization.

4ms isn't noticeable at any framerate.

There are two latencies.
1. is how fast pixels are able to change the color
2. display lag is how fast display is able to process and display the frame it received
Your latency is probably the first one and it's fine for gaming.
