Is 500w enough for R9 280x?

So I'm planning to upgrade from a 750 ti to a R9 280x. I have a Corsair CX500w PSU with an i5-4590 and 2x4gb 1600mhz RAM. Will I have to upgrade my PSU?

I have a Msi gaming 5 mb with a i5 4600, R9 280x, 8gb ram, 4 hd drives and 7 fans and I have a 600w psu.

So I think that 500w is enough

Corsair CX Series is a Tier 3 PSU, which mean it only meat minimal requirement for 80+ standards. Also, this series is known for its low quality Capacitor.

I would not use this PSU paired with a R9 280X. I would recommend at least a EVGA 600 B PSU or a 550 W psu of a higher quality such as XFX or Antec HCG series
