Is 500w PSU Enough for HD 7970 ghz edition GPU ?

Just wondering if 500w PSU will be enough for hd 7970 ghz edition ? Thanks.

System specs:

AMD fx6350
8gb ddr 3
PSU: Silverstone Strider Plus ST50F-P 500 W

It should be, but its close. I would get a bigger PSU to be safe, plus newer cards require more power so you might be limiting your upgrade options in the future.

I'd get a new psu especially if i intended to overclock-your cpu is quite powerhungry.

No overclocking, and this is the psu i have, cant afford new one atm.

You should be fine for the time being, but change it when you can, yours is not a great PSU.

Silverstone Strider Plus ST50F-P 500W will be enough for your system. Your psu provides current of 34A @+12V rail and your gpu won't use more than 22A and max tdp for your gpu is 250watts. Nothing to be worried, you are all good
