Question Is 57C a normal idle temp for an MSI RTX 4060?

Hey people, just bought this new MSI RTX 4060 but noticed that it's always idling at 57C. Under full load (100% utilization in gaming) that card's max temp is 71C which is really confusing since it's a good temp under load. The case is well ventilated with the cpu running at 30C while idle. Thank you!

Note: The gpu is mounted in a gen 4 Pcie x16 but runs at x8 since the main m.2 Nvme slot is used which is odd but as I've read somewhere that most MSI motherboard operate the same way.

Most video cards now has a zero fan mode that doesn't turn on the fans until the temperature hits a certain point. I'm not sure what it is for your card in particular, but 50-55C is what I normally see.

EDIT: I tested with my card since it's an MSI one and the fans don't kick on until around 60-65C.

If the idle temps bother you, you can set a custom fan curve using MSI Afterburner or similar software.

could you give more details about your system, like case, PSu, mobo etc ?
Thanks for the reply, here is the rest of the build:
-I can't find the case anywhere on the internet, it's called Hybrok Swan ARGB, it has 3 front fans and 1 in the back + 2 watercooling fans mounted on top.
-Motherboard: MSI MAG B660 TOMAHAWK DDR5 WIFI
-1tb MSI M.2 Nvme ssd + 500gb Crucial M.2 Nvme
-I5 12400F 4.4Ghz
-32gb Kingston Fury ddr5 5600Mhz
-PSU: MSI MAG A650BN
I guess that's all, I wanted an all MSI build but my wallet said no so I ended up with this.

Ah I see, is this a thing the new generation has or is it an MSI thing? I had a ZOTAC GTX 1660Super idling at 35.

your set up looks good, so what i would do as hotaru just said, set a custom fan curve with afterburner until you get the desired idle temps.

The idle GPU speed is 210Mhz while the Memory's is 405Mhz. The temp is currently 49C which is still somewhat hot imo. (Data from MSI Afterburner)

EDIT: Thank you hotaru and juan, setting a custim fan curve did the trick!
