Hi,
I have a Dell XPS 8900, Core i7 6700, 16GB, 500mb Samsung 950 Pro SSD. The machine came stock with integrated Intel graphics (with DisplayPort), and a GTX 745 4GB. But the GTX does not have a DisplayPort connection, only HDMI. The HDMI only supports 30Hz max.
Monitor is a Samsung UE28510 4k, currently using the GTX with HDMI in 3840x2160 native at 30Hz with the HDMI cable.
Given that I do NO gaming (not even minesweeper!), would I gain anything by upgrading to the minimum card that would drive this monitor at 60Hz in the same resolution through a DisplayPort adapter?
Thanks in advance for any assistance !
