I had an older desktop with a top of the line Seasonic 80 Gold Plus PSU (8yrs or so) which is rated 750 watts and 62amp on 12V.

Would this do fine for RTX 5070 Ti or 4070 Ti Super?

I am building with a Radeon 9 7900 (65w) CPU, 32gb DDR5 RAM, 2xSSD, 3xHDD, and an ATX case with 4 fans.

The power calculators say between 650-750 should be fine but I want to make sure it would be running ok based on real life experience and also the age of the power supply.

Thanks

this power supply although being old is still high quality .
if you will not be overcloking your cpu you will be fine
since the power consumption of ryzen 7900
can as much as double in multithreaded workload after you play with OC and PBO .

rtx 5070Ti (even with occasional power spikes) will not take more than 350-400w of power .
(on average it will be much lower than that)
so your power supply will not run at 80-90% of its capacity all the time .

furthermore seasonics power supplies have been known for being able of delivering
even more than what their rated power is
(but we also have to factor in a slight degradation in performance over the 8 years) .

that being said if you want to be sure and you want some breathing room
you should consider getting a new high quality 850w unit with a native 12V-2x6 connector.
