[SOLVED] Is 850w PSU too much for this build?

It's not too much, though the price isn't great.

Solution
Is that video card circa 200 watts max?

"Too much"? Some folks would tell you there is no such thing......."better to have it and not need it than................."

Unnecessary is another question, not that all 850 watt PSUs are equal.

I don't think 850W is necessarily unreasonable here. We've gone into an age of wattage numbers and power spikes creeping up again on high-end GPUs, and if he eventually upgrades in a future generation, it's not a bad idea to have. Especially because right now, you can get a good 850W for almost the same price as a 750W, so the numbers work out; if it was a $50 difference, I'd be less inclined to recommend.
