Is 8gb RAM + 6gb VRAM enough?

I'm going to build my first pc and I'm wondering if I should go with 8gb of RAM and 6gb of VRAM or 16gb of RAM and 3gb of VRAM... Any suggestions?

According to my personal experiance if ur good on budget then go for 16 gb single stick and 6 gb vram !! MOst Vram usage mostly happens in open world game like GTA V where the draw distance and depth of field takes a lot of Vram !! PLus i guess u r referring to GTX 1060 then also i will suggest u too go for the 6gb version and 16 gb ram !

I can't pay for 6gb vram AND 16gb ram, so I need to know which one is better for gaming.

Then i will say go for 6gb+8gb ram cause upgrading ram is much more cheaper than upgrading ur gpu in the future .. AND as far as 8 gb goes it wiill do just fine in gaming !!

Also note that the 3GB GTX 1060 also has 10% of its processing cores disabled, resulting in it being around 10% slower than the 6GB version even in games that don't utilize the extra VRAM.

YEp thats why i suggested to go for 6gb instead of 3gb verision !
