Windows itself uses 3-4GB of RAM even at true idle, during heavy use probably even much more which you can' ordinary see. For performance it's better if all is in RAM but if it gets close to100% it will heavily swap to disk and performance would take a dump.i have 16gb ram .So when im playing i always have msi afterburner on it shows that im using 13-15gb ram on game “throne and liberty”.thats the only game thats using that much ram
