Is a 295x2 to a 980 ti a good upgrade?

I am planning on upgrading my 295x2 to a 980 ti. Would that be a good upgrade? I am pairing it with an I7 4770

i am not sure actually. they're both very similar in performace with the 295x2 actually pulling ahead of the much newer gtx 980ti. if you're planning to upgrade (for power usage of heat reasons maybe?) i'd wait for the 3rd party gtx 1080 or gtx 1070 or even the 1080ti once it gets out. the 295x2 is pretty much at the very top of the table right now.
