Is a 3ghz dual core e5700 better than 2.6 or 2.8 ghz core 2 duo
And what is the difference b/w dual core and core 2 duo
and which games can a 3ghz dual core e5700 can play
can it play bf3,ac3,4,cod Black ops 2 etc

The 2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo is an Intel E7400.
The 2.6 Ghz Core 2 Duo is an Intel E4700.
The same as the E5700 Dual Core.

The E5700 does not have a very good benchmark.

I would not get it. It will not handle games very well.
The E4700 is even worse.

Those CPUs will not handle games very well.
For the older games you may want to consider the cheap Intel E8400.

The CPU is not the only factor on how well a computer can play a game though.
The GPU is the most important part when it comes down to gaming.
