Generally speaking, would buying a 4TB HDD for a gaming computer be a waste or worth it? PS: SSDs aren't worth it price wise for storing games on them, so I don't want you guys saying how I should buy a SSD instead

What do you mean practical for gaming? HDDs have almost no impact on gaming besides load times.

But yes it would be worth it if you had 4TB worth of games to store on it otherwise id say get a much lower HDD.

I would go for both SSD and HDD, Mainly because the SSD is faster than a hard-drive but more pricey and a Hard-Drive has more space but cheaper and slower.

wait i dont get this.. how is it practical to use a 4tb hdd for gaming if you have your games on an ssd? it might be practical to store games on it if you had a large amount.

No 😛 you said it's practical if you store all your games on an ssd but then how is using a 4tb hdd practical gaming. OP asked this question.

Since they don't (yet) make a 4tb consumer grade HDD that spins at 7200 rpm I would have to say no. You can get an enterprise grade one but I have better things to spend $400 on. LoL

What you look for in a gaming hdd IMO is 7200rpm spin speed (minimum) in a size you like that has the highest density platters available.
I personally look at 1 and 2 tb drives for 750gb or 1tb platters thjough wd does make a 500gb drive with a 750gb platter

Amad, I was ironic. Of course 4TB HDD doesn't help gaming at all. Well at least directly.
