[SOLVED] Is a 500W power supply enough for a gtx 1660 super?

I have a gtx 1050ti with a core I7 3770 and an ASRock p65 icafe motherboard
My power supply is A HuntKey greenpower 500W psu.
I want to replace my gpu with a gtx 1660 super but can my power supply handle it? and whats the best gpu that my psu can handle?

Quality 500w will be enough for gtx1660s, but i wouldn't use huntkey psu with the gtx1660s.
Can you buy another psu?

Agree. Never heard of that power supply. Replace the huntkey and be glad your system lived to tell the tale.

Sadly, I have heard of this power supply. The best use of this power supply is something for the recycling center to do. It's so low quality that I wouldn't be running your PC now with it, let alone after spending a few hundred bucks more.

I've personally had a motherboard have ports die after using those kind of power supplies.

I've also seen where an adapter that was a molex to sata power adapter caught fire and melted there sata power adapter on a hard drive (not in my system).

Moral of the story. Don't mess with those type of power supplies.

I'm not sure I'd power a sandwich with it. In the pantheon of computer horror, a decade old Huntkey with no certifications and missing basic functions like active PFC ranks quite highly.
