Is a Corsair CX 600w going to be compatible with a r9 280?

I've read enough and obviously it's got enough wattage and whatsoever, however i saw that the PSU only has 2 PCI-E connectors and the GPU uses 2 itself, meaning that i've got none left for whatever else i may need those connectors for. Should i buy the power supply? I hardly know anything about power supplies.

Don't get the CX PSU, they are not very high quality. Go with either a EVGA (B2or G2), XFX, SeaSonic or Super Flower something like this would be good:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Its only about $8 more than the XFX 550, this will give you the option to add a second card (assuming your motherboard supports crossfire)

I agree on that. I had issues with the PC rebooting itself on a CX600M due to a bad power cable connector. It's currently running in my previous PC, which is now used as a general purpose PC, but I will install my current XFX 550w PSU in that one once I upgrade to a 750w PSU and SLI-compatible motherboard in my current PC.

Nah, it's just a 280.

Isn't this a huge overkill? With my budget i can't really afford either of them, even if i manage to find em

What do you guys think about the Seasonic SS-620 GB 620W (http://www.amazon.com/Seasonic-S12II-620-BRONZE-SS-620GB/dp/B003BIEOCI ) ?

PS: I can't even find any XFX PSU's in my local-ish sites, let alone buy them

Aaaaalright, i guess i'll do that then. But the original topic question kinda stays, are the 2 PCI-E connectors going to be a problem? I'll be needing 2 for the 280 alone

I couldn't even find any XFXs in my area, so i guess i'll be going for the ss620. Thanks for the connector clarification^
