Yes it is okay for gaming. I would go for a better CPU though since that one is only 2 cores. You can overclock it but then you need a nice CPU cooler as well. Just spend the extra cash and get an i3 4130-4150 or something cheap. It won't bottle neck your system and you won't have to overclock it and worry about it overheating.
