Is a Gtx 1050ti compatible with a Gigabyte Assassin 2 motherboard?

Is a Gigabyte GTX 1050ti 4Gb OC windforce gpu compatible with my system?

My specs are
Mb: Gigabyte Assassin 2
Cpu: i7 3820
16gb ram
1000 watt psu
Win 7 ultimate 64

I have brought the 1050 and I can't seem to get it to work if I take out my old gpu and plug it in I get 4 beeps ( 1 long and 3 short) and a black screen same as if I have no gpu installed so I think it not recognize it.
if I plug my old gpu back in and have the 1050 in the 2nd slot I can see the 1050 in device manager and can install new driver but it says " this device cannot find enough resources that it can use code 12 - if u want to use this device you need to disable one of the other devices on this system"

It is compatible....but as far as why the 1050 isn't recognized....I have no idea....I think it should be....unless there is something wrong with it.
