I can pick up an EVGA GTX 760 FTW 4GB for around £250, is it worth the upgrade from the 2 Sapphire HD 6870's that I have in crossfire?

The rest of the machine is and i5-2500k on an Asus Mobo with 8GB 1600mhz DDR3 and an antec HCP-1200 (It was REALLY cheap).

Thanks in advance

ah I see if that the case try waiting about two weeks then if you can. The reason being is AMD is coming out with there new cards and I believe I read on this site that nvida will be droping there prices to try to compete so you maybe able to get that 760 for around £200ish in the next two weeks if your not in a rush.
Thanks for the feedback. My main reason for wanting to upgrade is the lack of memory. 1GB doesn't really cut it any more...

I've looked at the new range of AMD cards, and they seem decent, but I'm looking for something around the £250 mark, which the equivalent cards will probably not be.

get the 760 and when funds permit, add a 2nd. it is a very good card for the money

Actually I would go with AMD 7950 you get 3gig of memory and you can also CF that plus they come in at about £200ish.

I believe they are a little faster or at least on par with the 760 but cheaper.

Also come with free games (may need to comfirm that with your country)

You may want to get this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-Radeon-HD7970-Graphics-384bit/dp/B008V25EWI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1380660679&sr=8-2&keywords=radeon+7970

its as fast as a 770 GTX maybe faster since its a OC model (though you could OC a 770) and still cheaper than the 760 you were looking at.

Thanks for pointing out the 7950 ikaz. I had looked at purchasing both it and the 7970, but decided to steer clear of radeon cards for the minute. I've had a few problems with them arriving DOA recently, from a few brands as well.

Although I agree that the sapphire card does look good, I am NOT buying sapphire again. Their customer service when the second card I had died was a joke. It took me 3 weeks to get a reply, and then they sent me a 6850 instead. Getting that sorted was another 2 weeks. Its a shame, because before that I actually quite liked their cards.
