Is a "HD 16:9 LED Backlit Wide screen (1920x1080) Super Clear Matte Type Screen" good for gaming?

I'm looking for a custom laptop with the previous mentioned display or a "15.6” FHD IPS (1920x1080) 16:9 Super Clear Matte Type Screen". The IPS display will cost me 45 euro more than the other. I'm a gamer, is the led-backlit display ok? (sorry for my bad English)

An LED-backlit display is preferred over an LCD-backlit display due to the thin factor- LCD is typically a bit bulkier, but not really any performance loss. Just a different type of lighting.
