Is a new pump supposed to look like this?

Hi,
I just purchased a new D5 pump (Swiftech MCP655-PWM) and the pump (to me) looks a bit used. Would you guys mind taking a look at attached pictures and let me know if that's what a new pump is supposed to look like? I don't mind the look given that it'll sit inside my reservoir (Monsoon Series Two), I just want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off.

Thats fine, its just marked from QC testing.

I'm assuming that the black bit is rubber - it's fairly normal for it to look like that when removed from the mold. And as above, the paint spot is from QC.

Keep in mind the product will have to have been used during the manufacturing/QC process to ensure it is working.
