Is a overclocked 1080 ti a upgrade from a maxwell titan hybrid ?

Have a Asus PG348Q monitor ( 3440-1440 ) have preordered a Gigabyte Nvidia Gtx 1080 Ti Xtreme ( 720 pounds ) not sure after alot of research if I will notice much difference .Cpu i5 4960k @4.6 32gb ram ( also have a r9 295x2 ) THANKS

mayfield When you get the 1080 Ti, could you please update this thread? Since you have an ultrawide 1440p display, I wouldn't think there would be much of a bottleneck for an overclocked i5-4690K. I'm curious to find out your experience, since 3440 x 1440 is my favorite resolution. Thanks in advance.

YES. bought a Zotac ti amp extreme, no cpu bottle kneck , that i can see ( still getting used to the format on this site ) @ 3440-1440 Deus X MD titan 37 fps av ti 60 using in game bench marker. FC P Titan 52 Ti 83 av ( ultra ) alot of money but worth it.
