Hello, as the title suggests, is a rtx 2060 compatible with a msi mpg z390 gaming edge AC motherboard? I'm going to be building my first gaming pc: i7 8700 non k,
EVGA 80 PLUS 600W PSU, 16gb ram

Yes it's 100% compatible , but that PSU is very poor quality.
Get an EVGA G2 or G3.

No , the Bronze units made by HEC are poor quality. G2 and G3 are very very good , made by Super Flower.

Seasonic and corsair also make very good power supplies. Keep that in mind when looking for psus. Seasonic is prob the best in the market but pricy. The corsair cx550m psu is good value for the money right now.

Would you get the EVGA - 650W ATX G2 Modular Power Supply or the corsair cx550m? here are all my parts so far:
EVGA - GeForce RTX 2060 XC Ultra Gaming 6GB GDDR6, EVGA - 650W ATX G2, Samsung 970 EVO 500GB Internal PCI Express 3.0 x4, Seagate - Barracuda 1TB Internal SATA Hard Drive, CORSAIR VENGEANCE 16GB 2.4GHz, Cooler Master - Hyper 212 Black, Intel - Core i7-8700, MSI MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE AC, and finally corsair carbide 275r case

You could get buy with a 550 watt but i would pick the 650 watt for that cpu and gpu.

Id get the cx650m. I have a 550m, the 550 watt version. The cx line are very goodl. The modularity makes them easy to cable manage.

CXM 650W is decent , but not great , it is a couple of steps up from the 600W EVGA you listed in your original post. It's a 2015 model and is an improved platform over the original CX lineup. There is also a 2017 CX650W non modular model that is also decent.

GPU/motherboard compatibility, unless you're talking a decade-old motherboard, is not actually a thing.

In any case, a thread from two years ago, opened by someone else, with different hardware, is precisely the wrong place to be asking this question.
