3500u is a great laptop cpu, absolutely cannot fault it at all.

10 hour battery life though?

You're not getting that on any laptop that has decent performance.
4-5 hours on the 3500u absolute max.

Hi there,

Ryzen 5 3500u is a solid processor and should be great for school without any doubt. Intel 10th gen processors are also good, but you got to shell out a bit more to get them. May I ask what you will be doing on your device mostly? If you will be using intense graphics applications, CAD, art rendering, video editing, etc., then I'd recommend one of the Intel processors. Otherwise, Ryzen 5 should be just fine.

Glad to be of any help! Cheers!
