hey here are my computer specs, im getting 160 as a refund here in the next day or two and am thinking of the best/most effective pc performance boost wise, what would help, do the most...

I also plan to upgrade to a
EVGA CLC 120 CL11 Liquid/Water CPU Cooler
aswell, so i guess my question is, if you were in my situation, what would you think the most effective upgrade i can make to this (1550 socket) setup...

OS: W10 64bit
case: Thermaltake g41
mobo: ASUS Z97-A/3.1USB(Socket: 1550) so limited on upgrades, unless i completely rebuild
cooler: EVO212
CPU: i7 4790k - Clocked: 4.4GHz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC 2.0+
ram: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 (1600MHz)
SSD(OS): Kingston 120gb
SSD2(Games): Crucial 240gb
HD(storage): 1T ASUS HD Black

On a Z97 board, an NVMe drive is generally a minimal if any improvement over a SATA III SSD.
You can get it to work as the boot drive, but it won't be a huge improvement. That drive won't run at its full speed.

For the same $$, a better and larger SATA III 2.5" drive for the OS. Samsung 860 EVO, for instance.

I am looking for a overall better experience, mainly game performance... I watched the Samsung 970 EVO default video on amazon and it talks about how it gives the "ultimate gaming performace"

my PSU, which i forgot to list, is a EVGA SuperNova G3 750w Gold

Yeah ive been thinking of getting the

Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0781Z7Y3S/ref=ox_sc_...

but should i use it as a raid with my other SSD's or use it for my OS and my games etc

NO RAID!
You'll see zero performance increase. The only thing you would increase is the fail potential.

Just have it as another drive letter. Put whatever you want on it.

I have that same drive. Along with several other SSD's.
I would use that for the OS drive instead of the little Kingston you have now.

Welll i have my games on the 240. Steam games/Overwatch/Fortnite/CS1.6

Once i get a Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD ill throw the 128 in my 2nd pc, and then throw my OS on the 240 and games on the 500, or maybe the other way around, ill have to google (tryingto rebuild enough to be able to be my streaming computer, with a capture card.
